Handmade off Alaska's southern coast since 2006, Granite AK beanies are a reflection of the lifestyle lived by the Coastal Alaskan.

The first Granite beanie was made as a bomb-proof weather shelter for exploring and playing in my backyard in and around the Chugach Backcountry.

They can now be found anywhere from the decks of commercial fishing vessels, on professional guides, world travelers, skiiers, snowboarders, surfers, bikers, skaters, climbers, and much more.

Granite AK has developed into a recognizable brand in Southeastern Alaska covering the domes of those thoroughly enjoying life to a maximum.

Granite is more than the greatest accessory to go casual or crazy in. It is a protrayal of individuals siezing the moment, creating their legacy and taking advantage of opportunity.

Protect Our Winters was started in 2007 by pro snowboarder, Jeremy Jones who, during winter trips, witnessed first-hand the impact of climate change on our mountains.

April 28, 2011The winter has vacated the mountains and daylight fills the sky at 930pm, thus creating the off-season for Granite AK. There have been a few changes to how Im doing things now. I now only sell at selected local retailors. Also a reminder that I no longer do custom orders. I have taken a full time job with the Southeast Alaska Conservation Council, putting my days of glacier tours, snowboard sales, and coffee slingin' skills behind me. With that said, stay tuned via my Granite AK facebook page to get the latest scoop on where you can get the freshest creations. A new edition to my retail circuit is Foggy Mountain Shop in downtown Juneau. If you're in to quality and functionality, this is where you want to get yours! Foggy is the only distributor of 100% USA grown merino wool and locally custom hand dyed beanies! Also, dont forget to scope out all of my distributors, as they all carry one of a kind creations! Aurora Projekt, the UAS Bookstore, Foggy Mountain, and Paradise Beach Tanning are ready to hook you up in Juneau. For all you Cordovans, The Net Loft is where its at with the latest batch of spring creations with their own custom dyed merino wool. Dont miss out! Bu with that came the re-launch of my online retail section on Etsy. New beanies are added as they are made so you are always getting the freshest creations! Also new is that I am working with a few retailers trying to get my product in more stores across Alaska so it will be even easier for you to get your hands on the sweetest beanies! With that said, I do not have any stock right now except for what you will find in my newly launched STORE! It will be pretty minimal for awhile. I am spending the holidays down south and will be "out of commission" Granite wise until late January. I am NOT accepting custom orders of any kind. I dont have time to get them done before leaving. Since I have been bustin out beanies since September, this is my little break. A road trip in the middle of winter from Southeastern AK, through the Canadian Rockies, down to Minnesota, living out of the back of my Tacoma with boyfriend and border collie! ;) Know that there will most likely be some new Granite product being invented on this trip!Thank you everyone who came out and showed some love during Public Market and Gallery Walk.
